Introducing Afri-ARM
Afri-ARM is an open-access, curated database of antimicrobial resistance genes (ARGs) derived from African metagenomic datasets. We believe in the power of open science to combat AMR across the continent.
📊 Access the Data
You can explore the source code, contribute to the pipeline, or download the latest dataset:
GitHub Repository: https://github.com/ngangao/AfriARM
Access the raw data, bioinformatics pipelines, and version history: www.bio-africa.org/Afri-ARM/Downloads
Download Dataset (v.1.0): www.bio-africa.org/Afri-ARM/Downloads
🧬 Contribute Your Research
We are actively seeking to expand Afri-ARM. If you have curated ARGs from African metagenomic studies, we invite you to contribute to the next version of the database.
How to contribute:
Format: We accept paired or single reads of WGS metagenomes. Ensure your data includes metadata (source type, location, host domain, and platform used).
